SUBMITTALS Two complete sets of plans, specifications & calculations.

TURNAROUND TIME-- Average 2-3 weeks

MINIMUM PLAN REQUIREMENTS

Construction documents, plans and shop drawings submitted shall contain
sufficient detail for evaluation of the protected hazards and the effectiveness
of the system. The shop drawings for the installation of fire protection
systems shall be submitted for review and approval prior to the installation
of the fire protection system.

Plans shall be drawn to scale and shall identify by name, the designer and
the owner on every sheet.

The use, name and occupancy class of all rooms and spaces shall be
identified on all plans.

Mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinkler, and alarm details shall be
shown on the plans and represent the designs for those disciplines, along
with other information to show clearly the nature, character, and location of
the proposed work.

ADDITIONAL ALARM PLAN REQUIREMENTS

Locations of ALL controls, alarm-initiating and notification appliances.

( NOTE: All ceiling mounted appliances shall be shown on reflective ceiling
plans which shall show locations of all HVAC duct grills and all luminaries.

Riser diagram

Alarm control and trouble signaling equipment.

Annunciation.

Power connection.

Mounting details.

Point to point wiring.

Detector spacing.

Door schedule.

Battery calculations (24 hour standby) (5 min. sounding)

Voltage drop calculations.

(NOTE: At a minimum the last device on all SLCs will be tested on final
inspection.)

ADDITIONAL SPRINKLER PLAN REQUIREMENTS

Piping plans shall show ALL HVAC grillage, roof openings, and luminaries.
All zones shall be clearly marked.

Riser diagram labeling all components and indicating all supervisory
devices.

Contractor’s Material and Test Certificate for Aboveground Piping

Hanger details.

System water source(s) showing location, size and required backflow
prevention.

In-rack sprinkler details

Air compressor schematic for dry pipe systems
Jockey pump schematic (if applicable)

System hydraulic analysis.

Water supply analysis.

Underground water service should be inspected and “approved�� by the North
Coventry Township Water Authority prior to scheduling an inspection.

ALL FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS, AND SPRINKLERS SYSTEMS SHALL BE 100% TESTED BEFORE AN INSTALLATION INSPECTION CAN BE SCHEDULED. THE INSPECTION WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED UNTIL A “RECORD OF COMPLETEION�� IS RECEIVED.
